POSITION INFO:
Job & Company Description
A well-established organisation within the property space is seeking a Property Accountant to join its finance team in Sandton. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing property-related financial processes, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting portfolio performance through detailed financial analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare monthly property management accounts and financial reports
Manage tenant billing, recoveries, and lease-related financials
Perform and review bank, debtor, and creditor reconciliations
Maintain accurate property-related general ledger accounts
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Monitor rental income, expenses, and cash flow across portfolios
Support month-end and year-end reporting processes
Ensure compliance with property accounting standards and internal controls

Qualifications and Skills

BCom Accounting qualification is essential
Minimum 3+ years’ accounting experience
Experience in the property industry
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
Strong MDA and MRI experience
Ability to manage multiple portfolios and deadlines
Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills
