Property Manager, East London

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Property Manager for a permanent role based in East London, Eastern Cape.

POSITION INFO:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• Grade 12 with relevant degree / diploma and good computer literacy
• 10 years’ experience in the property environment with at least 5 years’ experience in property management
• Leasing experience with an existing network of retail and commercial tenants, on a national and regional scale
• Must be prepared to travel throughout EC and sleep out

• Maintain high occupancy level and attract tenants by advertising
• Conclude lease agreements with new tenants and renewals
• Overall management of lease agreements
• Meet with tenants and maintain good relationships
• Follow up with queries and concerns and resolve complaints
• Ensure all properties are maintained and ensure security services are adequate ‘
• Oversee new developments, coordinate vendors and execution of projects
• Develop project plans and measure project performance
• Perform risk management and review monthly management accounts
• Propose rental rates and collecting rentals / deposits
• Authorizing payments, preparing budgets / expenditures and variances
• Prepare reports and participate in educational opportunities
• Observe / monitor staff performance, identify training needs
• Interview / hire applicants and ensure adherence to company’s disciplinary code
