JOB SUMMARY:
An established master builder in the timber housing industry, is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join the Somerset West team. With your skills at calculating, procuring and coordinating materials, you could join a passionate group of home builders.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:

Generate quotes / tenders from building plans, by creating and costing a Bill of Quantities.
Logistics and Procurement of materials
Monitoring project budgetary allowances
Obtaining and coordinating sub-contractors
Close communication and coordination of the on-site building team
Project progress reporting
Final invoicing and accounting preparations for clients and contractors

General Requirements:

Grade 12 certification is required (Higher Grade Maths)
1-2 years minimum working experience
Knowledgeable in JBCC contracts, CCS and on-site measurements.
Ability to read and quote on building plans
Own transport to office and contracted building sites (if needed)
Ability to confidently work on Bill Of Quantities (BOQ)
Computer literacy and proficient skill in Microsoft Office suite.
Proficiency in English/ Afrikaans language (speak, read and write)
Ability to work as a leader in a team environment
Project management expire is beneficial
Attention to detail and accuracy
Assertive and proactive personality
