Quality Assurance Engineer

SUMMARY:
My client is a focused group specializing in the sales and marketing of quality branded household durables and appliances (local and international). They are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer (Mechanical) to join their team.

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications:

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• 3 - 5 years experience in this field
• Thorough knowledge of plastics and steel would be advantageous

Responsibilities:

Quality Control

• Manage the ISO09001 system and ethical audits when necessary
• Ensure all product customer returns are kept below company requirements
• Manage the quality control function
• Ensure that inspection instructions are in place for components
• Undertake supplier evaluations
• Ensure the processes are quality controlled i.e. OQC

Engineering

• Project design - manage projects
• Ensure all product and processes functions are within time and cost and at the required efficiency
• Ensure the lab is equipped to do the life tests

Additional

Process engineering

• Production failure evaluation
• Advanced engineering economics
• Reliability management
• Pre shipment quality inspections of manufactured products at the warehouse
