Quality Control Manager

SUMMARY:
Network Recruitment is seeking an experienced QC Manager to join a leading engineering and manufacturing environment in Johannesburg.

POSITION INFO:
This is a senior quality leadership opportunity for a technically strong professional with experience in fabrication, welding, machining, assembly and mining\/mineral-processing equipment . The successful candidate will take ownership of quality control across manufacturing and project execution, ensuring products and deliverables meet customer specifications, engineering standards and international quality requirements. If you have a strong QMS background , extensive inspection experience and the technical knowledge to lead quality teams in a demanding manufacturing environment, we'd like to hear from you. Education: National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management or a related discipline. Quality Management Systems (QMS) ISO 9001:2015 Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) Welding inspection NDT Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Corrective & Preventive Action (CAPA) Material traceability Quality reporting and KPI management Supplier quality Technical documentation and document control Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Project ERP and quality-management systems Job Experience & Skills Required: 5+ years' experience in a leadership or supervisory quality role. Strong experience in quality control within manufacturing, mining equipment, mineral processing or heavy engineering environments. IWI-S \/ IWI-C \/ CSWIP Welding Inspector certification or equivalent. IWT \/ IWE qualification or strong practical knowledge of welding procedures, including WPS, PQR and WPQ. ISO 9712 Level 2 in relevant NDT methods - minimum VT, PT, MT and UT. AMPP\/NACE CIP Level 2 or equivalent. Strong understanding of ASME Section VIII Division 1, ASME Section IX and ASME B31.3. Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements and implementation. Experience with welding inspection, fabrication, machining, assembly and pressure-equipment quality requirements. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Experience with NDT, material traceability and inspection methodologies. Proven experience managing customer inspections and FATs. Strong knowledge of RCA, CAPA and continuous-improvement methodologies.
