Quantitative Analyst

SUMMARY:
A great opportunity has become available for a Quantitative Analyst at one of the commercial banks sitting within their Financial Modelling department.

POSITION INFO:

Description:

• The purpose of this Quantitative Analyst is to understand requirements from business and have a good understanding of business in general and the ability to do trend analyses, sensitivity analyses and build scenarios

Education:

• Mathematical/Analytical B.Sc. or BCom degree

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Building models required for the business to guide business, including financial, decisions
• Perform analysis for business to give them a better understanding of relevant data/trends/behaviour
• Understand general commercial principles so that sound and well-designed models can be built
• Pro-active in suggesting for opportunities as well as making analytical observations on any aspect that would be beneficial to business

Experience

•  3 years’ experience in an analytical and modelling position (preferably in the banking sector)
• R, Python, SAS Base, SQL
• Advanced Excel knowledge
