SUMMARY:
Brief Description
A leading financial institution is seeking a Quantitative Business Analyst to join its dynamic team in Sandton. This pivotal role involves designing, configuring, and implementing advanced financial models and risk management solutions to support the front office suite of applications within Markets.

POSITION INFO:

Job Description:
Financial Modelling and Analysis: Construct and critically analyze financial models, including product pricing, curve stripping, and scenario analysis
System Design and Implementation: Analyze, design, and implement purchased or in-house software applications to meet business requirements
Process Optimization: Engage in process design, analysis, testing, and troubleshooting in the areas of pricing and risk analysis
Data Management: Analyze data and situations, identify and solve problems, reason logically, and drive valid conclusions
Production Support: Take shared ownership of recurring production incidents by working with multiple stakeholders to resolve system issues
Continuous Improvement: Suggest changes in executing work processes to better drive value and benefits for the business
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders to gather information regarding changes and developments in their business area that would impact demand for allocated technologies

Skills & Experience:
Experience: Minimum of 2 years relevant, quantitative, risk, and business analysis experience in financial markets
Technical Skills: Experience in designing and implementing integrated solutions, including a good understanding of systems integration
Software Proficiency: Working knowledge of SQL and ability to analyze data
Additional Knowledge: Experience in designing, testing, and configuring quantitative systems in Capital Markets (Market Risk, Credit Risk, XVA and more) is advantageous

Qualification:
Educational Background: Post-graduate qualification in Mathematical Finance or another quantitative/related discipline is required
Professional Certifications: FRM, PRM, ACI Dealing Certificate, CFA, or related risk or quantitative international certification would be beneficial
