SUMMARY:
An Exciting Opportunity in the Quantitative Risk Space. My client, a highly respected organisation in the financial services sector, is looking to appoint a skilled Senior Model Risk Analyst to join their risk function. This is an excellent opportunity for a quantitative professional with strong technical expertise and an interest in model risk management, validation, and control.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Economics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or Financial Engineering.
A Master’s Degree in Finance or Financial Engineering is preferred, but not essential.
Additional professional qualifications such as CQF (Certificate in Quantitative Finance) will be advantageous.

Experience & Technical Requirements:

3 to 7 years of experience in model risk management, model validation, and control processes.
Solid understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks, including IFRS, PRA, and other global standards.
Practical experience with risk modelling tools, particularly Python, and sound knowledge of model validation methodologies.

Key Competencies:

Advanced proficiency in Python and object-oriented programming.
Strong quantitative analysis, statistical, and financial modelling capabilities.
Highly methodical, detail-oriented, and self-driven approach.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to understand complex model structures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to evolving regulatory and business requirements.
