POSITION INFO:
Minimum Qualification: B - Degree in Quantity Surveying (NQF Level 7) Required professional registration: Registration with SACQSP (South African Council for Quantity Surveying Profession) as a Professional Quantity Surveyor. Minimum Experience: Minimum of 3 -5 Years' experience post registration as a professional Quantity Surveyor. Proven track record in managing high level projects, managing matrix structures, multi-disciplinary and multi projects Experience in water infrastructure environment, will be an added advantage Key Outputs: Reporting to the Senior Manager: Project Management Unit, the employee will: Analyse construction plans and specifications Develop planning and cost norms and standards Develop tender document specifications Lifecycle costing analysis. Prepare costs estimates and budget Co-ordinate project needs with the Contractor\/consultant Prepare contracts and documents Develop cash flow projections Monitor and report project costs Study feasibility reports carefully and make detailed recommendations regarding accuracy and quality of work done by consultants Prepare internal costing of projects Act as a liaison between clients and site managers\/engineers Evaluate tenders Price tender bill of quantities. Confirm that construction is in line with the initial goal of the project Make inputs to Special Conditions of the Contract to ensure that specialised standards and criteria will be met Key Competencies: Ability to conduct feasibility studies, estimating and pricing, bill production, final accounts, payment certificates, close out report and project management.
