JOB SUMMARY:
Quantity Surveyor (Site Based) Employment Equity Assignment

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualifications required:
B.Tech or B.Sc Quantity Surveying
CCS Skills essential

Responsibilities:

Establish cost control methods with the Contract Manager.
Liaise with the clients QS representative, subcontractors, suppliers, prepare and agree value variations.
Ensure that the preparation of valuation and issue of interim certificates enable punctual payment.
Ensure that subcontract orders are placed in accordance with the requirements of the procurement schedule.
Monitor and update contract turnover and cash flow forecasts as required.
Cross-check material deliveries against site measurements.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Planning required:

Organise and planning of valuation schedule with client QS.
Organise and planning of valuation schedule with appointed subcontractors.

Deadlines:

Subcontractor certificate submission dates as defined by Financial Manager.
Client certificate valuation date as prescribed in the Contract document.
