Monitor and audit payroll systems for accuracy, integrity, and legislative compliance. Lead payroll reviews, ensuring precise input and timely payments. Implement and uphold remuneration policies, philosophies, and practices. Manage the payroll and Time & Attendance systems, ensuring seamless integration and operation. Oversee end-of-month, end-of-year, and tax-year payroll reporting, including financial reconciliations. Develop, document, and improve payroll policies, procedures, and workflows. Manage departmental budgets and monitor financial performance. Foster strong communication and relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders. Ensure legal compliance and risk mitigation across all payroll functions. Lead strategic payroll projects and contribute to departmental planning. Duties: Oversee payroll processes, controls, and automation initiatives. Regular auditing of payroll systems and calculations. Conduct comprehensive payroll reviews and maintain data accuracy. Manage remuneration policy implementation. Lead and develop the payroll team. Prepare payroll reports for various financial and legal purposes. Develop policies, procedures, and internal controls. Manage payroll system interfaces and data integrity. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies. Drive strategic projects and risk assessments. Requirements: Tertiary qualification and\/or relevant payroll-related certification. Extensive expertise in payroll systems, taxes, and complex processing. Proven experience in payroll implementation and integration with other systems. Strong payroll programming skills. Demonstrated management and leadership capabilities. Knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance standards. Excellent report writing and communication skills. Nice to Have: Experience with payroll automation tools and interface management.
