Regional Credit Manager

POSITION INFO:
A well-established national organisation is seeking an experienced Regional Credit Manager to join its finance team based in Midrand . This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven credit professional with strong leadership capabilities and a passion for improving collections, reducing credit risk, and developing high-performing teams. The successful candidate will oversee the regional credit function, ensuring efficient accounts receivable management, sound credit control practices, accurate reporting, and compliance with company policies. This role requires a hands-on leader who can build strong stakeholder relationships while driving operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and develop the regional credit control team. Manage team performance through KPI monitoring, coaching, and performance reviews. Oversee the full accounts receivable function, ensuring timely collections and accurate account reconciliations. Monitor debtor ageing and implement strategies to improve cash collection and reduce overdue accounts. Ensure customer accounts are maintained accurately and payment terms comply with company policy. Assist with banking, invoicing, and other finance-related activities where required. Implement and maintain effective credit policies, procedures, and internal controls. Assess and manage credit risk while proactively identifying high-risk accounts. Liaise with legal representatives regarding overdue accounts when necessary. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, internal stakeholders, and business partners. Prepare and analyse debtor ageing reports, collection performance reports, and management reports. Support month-end and year-end reporting processes with accurate debtor information. Identify process improvements and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency within the credit function. Ensure compliance with audit requirements, financial regulations, and company policies. Job Experience and Skills Required: Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Credit Management, or a related field. Minimum 5 years' experience within credit control or accounts receivable. At least 2 years' experience managing a credit or debtors team . Retail or FMCG industry experience will be highly advantageous. Strong understanding of credit risk management and accounts receivable processes. Experience analysing debtor ageing, collections, and financial performance. Exposure to Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools will be advantageous. Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities. High attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills will be advantageous. Apply now!
