SUMMARY:
In this role you will be responsible for the effective management and execution of all industrial sales related activities in Kwazulu-Natal for the achievement of agreed strategic sales objectives and targets

POSITION INFO:

Our client has been an industry leader for the past 70 years. Their state-of-the-art manufacturing plant provides well-known brands to over 5,000 clients in the Consumer, Industrial and Construction industries.

In this role you will be responsible for the effective management and execution of all industrial sales related activities in Kwazulu-Natal for the achievement of agreed strategic sales objectives and targets.

 

Responsibilities

 

Sales management

Achieve overall sales and GP contribution targets (Team as well as own)

Monitor and control sales team’s overall performance

Develop and execute the regional sales strategy and plan

Selling price control

Negotiations

 

New Business Development

Continuously work to increase customer base

Drive sales of existing and new products to existing and new customers

Identify any new product sales opportunities

 

Customer Service and Business Relationships

Ensure effective call planning and regular customer visits

 

Administration                          

Maintain sound admin practices and reporting

 

Expense Control

Manage all expenses to keep within budget

 

Staff Management

Manage and monitor staff performance

 

Sales Team Development

Coach and mentor

Conduct ongoing product and sales training

 

 

 

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Post-Matric qualifications in Technical / Commercial / Business / Sales

10 Years’ Experience in Sales (industrial / technical)

5 Years’ Experience in Sales Team Management

Good negotiating skills

Skilled at obtaining product, market and competitor knowledge

Ability to use own initiative

Strong problem-solving skills

Excellent Communication skills

Strong Work Ethics

Excellent Customer Service skills

High Levels of Energy and ability to work well under pressure.

Conceptual thinker

An aptitude for understanding and handling people dynamics

Ability to multi-task and to adapt to different situations easily
