Regional Manager: Finance Insurance Broker

SUMMARY:

This is a contract role for a period of 3 (three) months. Resources will be working remotely due to COVID.

POSITION INFO:

Job Purpose:

To manage the regional financial and accounting processes, ensuring sound financial practices within the specific region and result in economic growth and financial sustainability of the organisation. To ensure sound financial practices for Iemas, in terms of accounting, risk management and auditing.

Job Outputs:

• Compile and integrate all Branch budgets in Regional budget in presentable format (system) for the Corporate Financial Manager and Managing Executive.
• Responsible for the sound and effective document and accounting record keeping at regional level.
• Managing the cash flows of payments due from the Employers.
• Responsible for managing the follow up of all regional deposits/transactions on bank reconciliation.
• Responsible for Regional monthly financial reporting to management, write technical specifications from a business or system point of view, including time estimations.
• Summarize internal audit findings with recommendations in report format for the Corporate Financial Manager.
• Management of fixed assets.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12
• BCom Accounting or finance related qualifications
• Comply with all legislatory requirements e.g. VAT, NCR, FAIS

Experience:

• Minimum of 6 years’ applicable experience

Knowledge and Skills:

• Cross boundary / strategic thinking;
• Information search and drive for results;
• Interpersonal relations and people skills
• SSIS Packages
• Code 8 driver’s license
