POSITION INFO:

The REGIONAL MANAGER: SALES AND MARKETING is responsible for managing the South African and global Retail, Catering and Food Service segments on a national level through:

Running Key Accounts management
Stock and logistics management
Liaising with 3rd party service providers such as sales and merchandisers, and distributor agents
Leading and mentoring of the sales team
Advertising and promotions for the local market
Procurement with growers

Key activities of the Procurement Manager:

Developing and implementing a sales strategy to achieve category specific sales budgets
Logistics management (manage 3rd party distributors and sales & merchandising vendors)
Profitability and cashflow management (costing models, stock management, debtors, pricing)
Customer service (trade agreements, ensure delivery of products and resolve customer complaints)
Develop and implement advertising and promotions strategy (above the line, exhibitions, contact group)
People and process management

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:

BCom Marketing degree
8 years of sales and marketing experience
At least 3 years relevant experience within an FMCG environment within the local food/ retail space
Management experience (managing others)
Relevant category experience: food, perishables
Ability to build relationships and negotiate with diverse, global suppliers
