Regional Operations Manager - Northern Region

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Logistics Industry has an opportunity available for a Regional Operations Manager - Northern Region (Gauteng,  Free State, Mpumalanga, Limpopo) to be based in the Johannesburg area.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Grade 12/ Matric
• Tertiary Qualification in Logistics/ Business Management/ Business Administration or equivalent (NQF 7) - recommended
• Must have 7 years operational experience in Logistics and/or Operations
• Must have 5 years managerial/supervisory experience in Logistics and/or Operations
• Must have a Code B Motor vehicle license
• Must have experience in Microsoft Office (Office, Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
• Must have an understanding of digital delivery platforms and e-commerce fulfilment
• Knowledge of relevant legislation
• Risk Management skills
• Knowledge of the logistics/distribution industry
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Plan to have the correct amount of drivers in the network
• Ensure all clients SLA’s are achieved
• Review and improve processes regularly to ensure effective service delivery
• Establish, maintains effective relationships with customers
• Manage operation team in the achievement of planned divisional objectives and targets
• Manage the company’s risk exposure through identification and maintenance of risk control measures to minimize liability
• Adherence to operational Health and Safety statutory compliance
