JOB SUMMARY:
Durban. 5 years alcohol beverage experience with at least 3 years in a management role and excellent communication and commercial acumen secures Regional Sales Manager position with rapidly growing distributors and marketers of premium alcohol brands.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Manage the KZN Sales team with day-to-day activities which includes:
  • Evaluating daily call report addressing any concerns with the Sales Representatives directly
  • Sample requisitions and POS coalition and filing
  • Monitor call cycle adherence and communicate any changes
  • Manage, allocate and sign off company vehicle schedule for the week and pin on notice board
  • Customer meetings, trade visits and team evaluations conducted regularly
  • Contribute to weekly sales meetings collaboratively with National Sales Manager (NSM) and prepare own agenda to merge with NSM sales meeting agenda
  • Support and drive all strategic sales initiatives from the commercial team as well as give cumulative feedback on the progress of such initiatives
  • After morning touchdowns with the Coastal Sales team, to report back and have own daily touchdown with the NSM to ensure items are actioned / supported
  • Communicate teams’ budget / investment requests for ad hoc initiatives or forward share opportunities collectively for sign off and action
  • Direct all HR, Discipline, Outer Trips, KPI Performance, Skynamo CRM and Merchandiser related queries to National Sales Manager
  • Actively drives business development across all channels with team and identifies all gaps currently in market to action
  • Ensuring and checking that all trade tasting schedules are up to date and viable before implementation
  • Responsible for analyzing regional volume forecasts, scheduling and communicating sales budget expenditure, and analyzing variances and suggesting corrective action to National Sales Manager

Requirements:
  • 5 years FMCG beverage experience with at least 3 years in a management role
  • Matric
  • Own vehicle
  • Proven sales track record
  • Previous management of sales teams essential
  • Highly analytical
