SUMMARY:
Strong sales and technical background in the mechanical engineering industry, with Large Capital Equipment Experience.

POSITION INFO:

Looking for a strong sales and technical background in the mechanical engineering industry, with Large Capital Equipment Experience.
The main focus is to sell the company’s products and services to new and existing customers.
Looking for an individual who can work independently within an ethical corporate environment.

Qualifications & Experience

Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Additional sales or project management qualifications will be advantageous
5 + years’ experience in an engineering environment.
2 + years’ sales or project management experience with large capital equipment.
Basic knowledge of firetube boilers will be advantageous. Detailed product training will be provided.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Secure orders by professional response to inquiries, submission of tenders and negotiation of contracts.
Select equipment to meet customers’ requirements. The products are largely pre-engineered; however, the sales engineer will be responsible for selection of equipment and configuring the entire plant.
Review customer’s commercial and technical documentation and respond with suitably qualified and contractually sound tenders.
Prepare project estimates including dealing with suppliers, sub-contractors and internal departments.
Maintain status awareness of all potential projects, solicit new inquiries, and keep abreast of industry developments.
Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new customers.
