Regional Sales Manager - must have Boiler knowledge

SUMMARY:
Based in Bellville - must have strong sales and technical background in the mechanical engineering industry. Core business is boiler plant and related equipment

POSITION INFO:

Duties:

• Secure orders by professional response to enquiries, submission of tenders and negotiation of contracts.
• Select equipment to meet customers’ requirements. The products are largely pre-engineered; however, the sales engineer will be responsible for selection of equipment and configuring the entire plant.
• Review customer’s commercial and technical documentation and respond with suitably qualified and contractually sound tenders.
• Prepare project estimates including dealing with suppliers, sub-contractors and internal departments.
• Maintain status awareness of all potential projects, solicit new enquiries, and keep abreast of industry developments.
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new customers

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Additional sales or project management qualifications will be advantageous

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an engineering environment.
• Minimum 2 years’ sales or project management experience with large capital equipment.
• A basic knowledge of  boilers. Detailed product training will be provided.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English required.
