POSITION INFO:
Vacancy: Regional Sales Representative

Job Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to manage and grow sales within the assigned territory by promoting the Employer’s products and services, developing customer relationships, and ensuring client satisfaction. The Regional Sales Representative will be responsible for increasing order intake, maintaining accurate records, preparing quotations, and supporting operational teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Requirements
Minimum Education Required (Essential):

• Matric Certificate
• National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Management, or a relevant qualification

• Proven sales and marketing experience
• Strong background in customer relations
• Financially literate with solid commercial acumen

• In-depth knowledge of poultry and piggery industry and markets
• Technical knowledge of poultry system controllers, feeding & drinking systems, Plasson products, or similar agricultural equipment

• Strong negotiating and selling skills
• Excellent communication and report writing skills
• Organisational and time management skills
• Computer literacy (Windows, MS Office, and Employer-specific software)
• Ability to prepare comprehensive sales quotations
• Strong market research and competitor analysis ability

• Customer-focused and action-oriented
• Target-driven with a results mindset
• Effective communicator across all levels (customers, suppliers, internal teams)
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build relationships

• Location: Pomona, Kempton Park (with travel as required)
• Reports to: Regional Sales Manager: South Africa (Livestock)
• Valid Driver’s License essential
• Salary: Market related

• Conduct regular sales visits to customers and potential customers.
• Promote the Employer’s products and services during customer interactions.
• Maintain and grow order intake, spares sales, and product penetration in the market.
• Monitor competitors’ pricing, products, and market activities.

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Address and resolve customer queries, concerns, and problems.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings in line with company standards.

• Accurately capture orders and manage sales documentation.
• Keep the sales database up to date with all client interactions.
• Prepare and submit regular sales and service visit reports.

• Liaise with operational departments to ensure maximum stock availability.
• Provide support to the service department as needed.
• Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and promotional activities when required.
• Stay up to date with product and technical knowledge.
