JOB SUMMARY:
My client, an asset management company is currently looking for a Regional Wealth Manager to join their team. This is a client facing role which includes managing existing clients’ portfolios and further growing a new client base. This position operates from my clients offices in Somerset West, Western Cape.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualifications required:

BCom / BBusSc or similar finance / wealth / investment management related qualification.
Completed post graduate diploma or CFA qualification will be given preference.
RE1 / RE3 / RE5 is beneficial.

Skills and experience required:

At least 2 – 3 years’ experience as a client wealth manager / financial advisor / planner / similar.
Experience in investment advisory and financial planning.
Estate planning is advantageous.
Sound financial acumen and customer service excellence.
Willingness to learn about specific offshore investment related products and structures.
People management experience - motivating, guiding and training staff and ensuring staff adhere to policies, remain professional and perform.

Job description:

Manage the existing clients and build long lasting relationships.
Introduce additional clients to the business.
Assess clients’ financial needs and risk profiles.
Share knowledge and product expertise with clients.
Provide these market leading products to chosen existing and potential clients.
Propose investment solutions to clients taking cognisance of each client’s risk profile and financial needs.
Executing and implementing an ongoing client service plan to ensure client portfolios are regularly monitored and relevant modification timeously executed.
Display a professional and service orientated approach to clients.
Ensure all work is in line with company compliance standards and regulatory policies.
