The Role: Rental Property Management Assistant

The Rental Property Management Assistant will support the daily administration and coordination of residential rental properties. This role focuses on tenant communication, maintenance coordination, operational administration, and supporting the wider property management team with smooth day-to-day processes.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and stakeholders professionally.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the day-to-day administration of residential rental properties
Communicate professionally with tenants, landlords, contractors, and service providers
Coordinate maintenance requests and follow up on outstanding issues
Handle general administrative duties, including filing, scheduling, and data capturing
Support the property management team with inspections, lease documentation, and reporting
Manage client queries and assist in resolving disputes or sensitive situations professionally
Maintain accurate records and ensure timely communication with all stakeholders
Assist with ad hoc operational and office-related tasks as required

About You

Previous administrative or operational support experience within a fast-paced environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Comfortable managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
Skilled in handling sensitive situations and conflict resolution professionally
Strong computer literacy and confidence using standard office systems
Able to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment
Previous property management experience is advantageous but not essential

Additional Information

Remote position based in South Africa
Working hours:
- 09:00 - 18:00 UK time with 1-hour lunch break
- OR 09:30 - 18:00 UK time with 30-minute lunch break
Flat monthly salary structure with no commission
Industry-related courses available after successful completion of probation
Weekly team meetings and supportive day-to-day management structure
