Research Manager – Software & Security Program

Role: Research Manager - Software and Security.
Global market analysis, advisory and events firm focused on the ICT sector. Headquartered in the USA with offices in over 50 countries worldwide, employing over 1500 analysts and consultants. The company offers information products and consulting services to global and local IT vendors, telecom operators, national ICT development agencies, regulators, and CIOs and IT decision makers across various industries, covering  all major technology markets. 

POSITION INFO:
The Research Manager role would best suit an individual with a passion for technology and specifically information / Cyber security and software. You should have previous experience in and enjoy technical documentation / writing, strong business analysis skills, excellent presentation skills to C level and audiences. You should also have a thirst for researching the latest trends in the Security & Software industry and have solid knowledge of the major players in this industry. Perhaps you have come from a IT Journalism background, or ICT research background. 
 Responsibilities: 

• Develop, position, and deliver high quality research and advisory, mainly to security and software services providers, telcos and vendors.
• Develop analysis and thought leadership on the IT Security and Software market covering areas such as security vendor strategies, vendor product portfolios, security services models, services companies, telcos'' security practices, etc., and domain areas such as managed detection and response, threat lifecycle management, digital trust, governance, risk and compliance, IoT security, cloud security, and others.
• Write white papers and  well researched information papers for bespoke projects 
• Conduct primary and secondary research focused on Security and Software domains and technologies in South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa region;
