Reserving Actuary

SUMMARY:

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform reserving calculations, including quarterly and annual reserving reviews
• Assist with regulatory and financial reporting under SAM and IFRS 17
• Support assumption settings, model development, and the analysis of results
• Collaborate with pricing, capital, and finance teams on cross‑functional actuarial projects

• Education:
  
  • Minimum of 6 actuarial exams passed
• Experience:
  
  • At least 3 years’ actuarial experience
  • Proven experience in reserving
  • Exposure to SAM and IFRS 17
  • Insurance industry experience is advantageous
  • Exposure to pricing and/or capital is a strong advantage
• Skills:
  
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability
  • Experience with actuarial and statistical tools (e.g. Excel and actuarial software advantageous)
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills
