Resident Engineer (Bulk Water Supply)

SUMMARY:
Company based in Mbombela (Nelspruit) seeks to appoint a skilled Resident Engineer to start immediately.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:

• National Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Min of 5 years experience as a Resident Engineer working on bulk water supply projects
• Registered with ECSA / SACPCMP will be an added advantage
• Must be proficient in interpreting engineering plans

• Site Supervision and Management: Oversee daily contractor activity, ensuring compliance with blueprints, technical drawings and specifications
• Quality Control: Conduct inspections, verify material quality, and ensure compliance with safety standards and construction standards
• Project Documentation: Maintain accurate records, prepare daily / weekly progress reports, and review "as built" drawings
• Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary link between the client, consultants and contractors to resolve field issues
• Contract Management: Monitor project budgets, verify completed work for payment certificates and negotiate change orders
• Safety Assurance: Enforce environmental regulations and site health and safety protocols
