Retail Account Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Landsdown area, is in need of a suitable qualified and experienced retails account manager to join their team.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12/Matric or equivalent
• Qualification in Logistics/Supply Chain Management 
• 3-5 years in a similar role gained ideally in a FMCG or Retail environment
• Strong experience in customer services
• Above average experience in MS Excel is essential (must be able to understand and work with Excel Sheets containing high volumes of data i.e.,800 to 1200 line items with hundreds of SKU’s per order sheet)
• Basic understanding of financial functions such as creditors, debtors, age analysis, credit notes.

Responsibilities:

• Invoicing - need to be proficient in quick books or similar MS office
• Preparation of daily load sheets (training provided)
• Logistics planning per route schedule and assisting drivers with delivery problems (training provided)
• Processing of credit notes and customer statements.
• Oversee and manage the reconciliation of payments from customers to the statements.
• Understand the online portal of Pnp and Shoprite (training manuals provided)
• Have own phone and communicate with other members of the team via communication channels
• Customer record creation record keeping
• Credit checks for new customers
• Filing
• Managing customer relations / queries complaints
• Monitoring stock at stores
• Bank reconciliations with account department
• Issue Customer Review reports
• Assist with stock control (returns) and order processing
• Assist with payment of invoices (call late paying clients)
• Assist sales team in reaching monthly targets.
• Assist in product listing and updating and maintaining accounting records
• Daily reporting to manger
• All general office work and any other tasks necessary for the conduct of the business
• Respectful of clients, staff and management both above and beneath their authority
