SUMMARY:
Position Title: Retail Sales Manager (Consumer Electronics)

We are seeking an experienced Retail Sales Manager from the consumer electronics sector with a proven track record of managing major retail accounts (e.g. Makro, Game or similar
national chains).
 
This role requires direct, hands-on experience managing retail buyers, driving sell-through, and executing in-store retail strategy.

Position Overview:
You will take full ownership of major retail relationships, driving sell-through, profitability, and in-store execution. This is a hands-on, performance-driven role requiring strong commercial thinking, negotiation skills, and the ability to work with and strategize retail buyers.

Required qualification and working knowledge:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Electronics, ICT, Networking, or a related technical field.
• 3 – 5 years current or previous Retail Sales Manager experience.
• Direct experience managing major national retail chains.
• Established relationships with retail buyers/ category managers.
• Proven track record of negotiating and strategizing with retail buyers’ outcomes.
• Strong commercial and financial understanding (margins, pricing, promotional ROI).
• Advanced Excel/ data analysis capability.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day relationships with retail buyers and category managers.
• Drive sell-through performance across stores (not just sell-in).
• Lead commercial negotiations: pricing, margins, rebates, and promotional activity.
• Secure and manage promotional space, catalogues, and in-store visibility.
• Analyse sales data (sell-through, stock cover, store performance) to guide decisions.
• Ensure execution of merchandising, displays, and promotions in-store.
• Forecast demand and align stock with retail cycles and campaigns.
• Monitor account performance, forecasts, and stock movement.
• Identify and resolve risks such as stockouts, overstocking, or slow-moving inventory.
• Ensure efficient operational execution across retail channels.
• Expand product listings, increase shelf space, and grow category presence.
