SUMMARY:

An established international business within the ICT sector is seeking an experienced professional to support and strengthen its core accounting and revenue function.

POSITION INFO:
Part of a global group headquartered in the United States, with over 15 years of industry experience and a growing finance hub based in Johannesburg North, the business is focused on strengthening its finance capability and elevating its technical accounting standards. This is a fast-paced, high-impact role suited to someone who can think on their feet, handle pressure, and isn’t afraid to challenge the status quo.

Duties

Full-function accounting with a focus on IFRS 15 revenue recognition
Interpret contracts to ensure accurate revenue treatment
Manage invoicing, deferred revenue, and accruals
Maintain general ledger accuracy (journals, adjustments, trial balance)
Oversee receivables, payables, intercompany, and collections
Prepare financial reports (IFRS/GAAP) and manage month- and year-end
Support audits and ensure statutory compliance (VAT, PAYE)
Partner with Sales and operations on billing and revenue processes
Drive process improvements and strengthen controls

Skills & Experience:

BCom in Accounting or related field (essential)
Completed SAICA / SAIPA articles (essential)
Minimum 8 years’ relevant accounting experience (non-negotiable)
Strong working knowledge and practical experience of IFRS 15
Proven experience in a revenue-focused or recurring revenue environment
Exposure to intercompany transactions and multi-entity environments
