Our recruitment agency is partnering with a respected organisation in the travel, conservation and operational services environment to appoint a sharp, composed and highly organised Risk Officer.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who enjoys being close to the action — supporting risk response, incident administration, training coordination, document governance, compliance support and crisis communication. The role requires someone who is calm under pressure, administratively strong, highly confidential and able to work across teams, regions and sensitive operational matters.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field, such as:
  • Business Management, Social Sciences, Economics, Law, Aviation, Communications or a related discipline.

Experience & Technical Requirements

The successful candidate must have:

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• The ability to translate complex issues into clear, factual summaries
• Previous exposure to risk, incident management, insurance, compliance, safety, audit or operational administration will be highly advantageous
• Experience with statistical tools will be an advantage
• Fluency in an African language or Spanish will be advantageous

This is not a “sit quietly in the corner” risk role. It is a hands-on, high-trust position where your ability to organise information, support decisions, communicate clearly and stay calm under pressure will make a real operational impact.

You will work closely with senior risk leadership and contribute to risk awareness, incident response, training, insurance administration, compliance and best-practice risk management across a dynamic regional environment.
