Risk and Compliance Officer

Are you a detail-driven professional with a passion for risk management, compliance, and protecting business operations? We’re looking for a proactive Risk and Compliance Officer to join our dynamic team at our Head Office in Edenvale.

POSITION INFO:
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in safeguarding our retail operations, driving compliance, and strengthening internal controls across multiple business areas.

As our Risk and Compliance Officer, you’ll take ownership of risk management and compliance across allocated regions by:

• Driving compliance with company policies, procedures, and governance standards
• Implementing and monitoring risk management frameworks across retail outlets
• Identifying high-risk, high-shrinkage stores and recommending preventative solutions
• Overseeing CCTV systems, alarms, and security measures to protect company assets
• Conducting audits and investigations, and compiling detailed case reports
• Investigating incidents including theft, fraud, stock discrepancies, and system breaches
• Monitoring and improving shrinkage control measures across stores
• Managing audit schedules and conducting follow-up audits to ensure compliance
• Collaborating closely with Operations and Area Managers to address risk concerns
• Delivering risk-related training and promoting a culture of awareness
• Supporting health & safety compliance and contributing to OHS risk assessments
• Analysing trends, compiling monthly reports, and providing actionable insights

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Degree or Diploma in Risk Management, Security, or a related field (essential)
• Postgraduate qualification in Risk Management (advantageous)
• SAMTRAC certification (advantageous)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in risk management, compliance, or a similar role
• Proven experience within a retail environment
• Strong background in audits, investigations, and compliance
• Health & safety experience is essential
• Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years’ driving experience
