S3 BU Lead - Projects, Automation & Cloud Delivery Location: Somerset West, Western Cape Work Arrangement: Hybrid A senior opportunity is available for an experienced S3 BU Lead to lead projects, cloud delivery, automation and technical transformation initiatives. This role is suited to a strong technical leader who can combine cloud and automation expertise with project delivery, commercial awareness, client management and people leadership. Key Responsibilities Own and manage the S3 project pipeline. Prioritise projects and manage technical resources. Ensure projects have clear scope, timelines, risks and success criteria. Drive project reviews and remove delivery obstacles. Manage change control and project risks. Manage client and stakeholder expectations. Develop accurate technical scopes and BOMs. Ensure project scope is approved before implementation. Manage scope changes and prevent uncontrolled scope creep. Lead cloud and automation delivery standards. Ensure automation solutions are reliable, secure, documented and adopted. Drive measurable improvements through automation. Establish QA, testing and peer-review processes. Maintain project templates, SOPs, runbooks and documentation standards. Ensure complete technical handover and client sign-off. Lead, coach and develop S3 team members. Conduct regular 1:1s and performance-development discussions. Work closely with S1 and S2 to manage technical dependencies. Collaborate with Sales on project scope, quoting, procurement and invoicing. Ensure projects are delivered on time, on scope and to the required quality standard. Requirements Proven experience leading technical projects, cloud delivery or infrastructure implementations. Strong cloud technology experience. Experience with automation and process improvement. Strong project management and delivery skills. Experience leading or managing technical teams. Strong client and stakeholder management skills. Excellent understanding of scope, change control and project governance. Strong documentation and QA discipline. Commercial awareness and understanding of billable technical delivery. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead teams while remaining technically credible. Ideal Candidate We are looking for a technical leader who can turn complex projects into structured, predictable delivery. You should be equally comfortable discussing cloud architecture with engineers, managing project expectations with clients, controlling scope and coaching a technical team.
