POSITION INFO:
S3 Engineer - Cloud & Business Applications Location: Somerset West, Western Cape Work Arrangement: Hybrid An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced S3 Engineer - Cloud & Business Applications to deliver cloud solutions, technical projects, automation and business application improvements for clients. This role is suited to a technically capable engineer who enjoys implementing solutions, improving processes and turning technology into measurable business value. Key Responsibilities Deliver infrastructure, cloud and technology projects. Assist with cloud adoption, migrations and optimisation. Implement and support cloud-based solutions. Develop and maintain automation solutions. Identify opportunities to reduce manual administration through automation. Ensure automation solutions are reliable, tested and documented. Work with cloud platforms, business applications and related technologies. Implement appropriate standards around permissions, security, naming and configuration. Provide technical troubleshooting and project support. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, runbooks and user guides. Support client adoption through training and handover. Work with S1 and S2 on technical dependencies and operational handovers. Participate in project planning, testing and implementation. Assist with technical scoping and project requirements. Identify opportunities for process and technology improvements. Requirements Proven experience in cloud, systems engineering or a related technical environment. Experience with cloud technologies and infrastructure. Strong troubleshooting and implementation skills. Experience with automation and scripting. Exposure to business applications and technology implementations. Strong documentation skills. Ability to manage technical tasks and projects through to completion. Good client-facing and communication skills. Strong problem-solving ability. A structured and process-driven approach.
