SAP Portfolio and Resource Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client based in Cape Town is looking for a SAP Portfolio and Resource Manager to join the team, this is a perm role.

What will you do?
Having visibility of all projects, programmes and initiatives in a central place massively increases the chances of being successful. The SAP Portfolio Management function comprises both technology and oversight of business initiatives. It endeavours to break each element down into phases that clearly demonstrate synergies and contention.
  
Your role requires a conceptual understanding (preferably with hands-on experience) of the following SAP Products and Platforms:

• SAP S/4HANA Finance and Procurement
• SAP SuccessFactors
• SAP ECC6 for HR, Payroll and Time Management
• SAP Insurance Analyser or PaPM
• SAP Data Services
• SAP Business Technology Platform
• SAP RPA
• SAP GRC
• Rise with SAP on Private Cloud Edition (either AWS or Azure Hyperscaler)

POSITION INFO:
Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or similar
• Relevant Project Management qualifications or certifications

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in an IT environment
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in SAP

• Maintain a centralised and organised SAP Portfolio to support quality decision making, speed of implementation, strategic agility and adaptability
• Alignment to SAP CoE and SAP strategic objectives and roadmaps
• Alignment to SAP CoE standards and governance
• Support prioritisation of SAP initiatives
• Proactively monitor and respond to SAP skills demand
• Support transition of Requirements capability to Scaled Agile Framework
• Explore opportunities for cost savings and high ROI

• Deliver small to medium SAP projects according to best project management principles
• Contribute to SAP portfolio operational and service plans in alignment with SGT architectural strategy, SGT IT strategy and business goals, and provide subject matter expertise to contribute to the SAP CoE strategy.
• Proactively support risk management within the SAP portfolio by ensuring policies, processes and procedures are aligned to established governance principles.
• Support Head: SAP CoE in managing partnerships with vendors and service suppliers and effectively managing costs.
• Ensure solutions to new and existing business requirements (projects) are aligned to best-fit relevant and agreed roadmaps.
• Ensure that portfolio and management reporting is produced in a timely manner and aligned to the agreed communications plan for all relevant stakeholders.
• Build and maintain relationships with SAP CoE, SGT and business stakeholders, to define and implement a continuous improvement plans and support Head: SAP CoE to drive collaboration.
• Forecast demand and plan proactively.
• Ensure tighter coordination of strategy, capacity and customer needs.
• Ensure principles of requirements management are met.
• Ensure alignment of SAP initiatives and SAP licencing position.
• Ensure alignment between SAP initiatives and landscape
• Support efforts to meet SAP CoE Service Level Agreements

• Knowledge of SAP development concepts, guidelines and SAP architecture
• Knowledge and application of relevant IT best practices
• Knowledge of complex IT environments (technical, security, business)
• Knowledge of IT Service Management principles and frameworks (ITIL 4)
• Knowledge of project & programme management including methods and tools
