SAP SUPPLY CHAIN FUNCTIONAL CONSULTANT

SUMMARY:
Location: Hybrid – Centurion (Minimum 3 Days Onsite) + Remote Work + Monthly Travel to Operations
Duration: 12-Month Initial Contract 

Gijima Staffing Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a client for an experienced SAP Supply Chain Functional Consultant to support and enhance SAP S/4 HANA supply chain solutions within a complex operational environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, configuration, testing, support, and optimization of SAP Materials Management (MM), Sales & Distribution (SD), and related third-party integrated solutions across the Purchase-to-Pay and Sales & Distribution business processes. This role requires a highly analytical and solutions-driven SAP professional with strong integration experience and a solid understanding of operational supply chain environments, preferably within the mining sector.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements

• NQF Level 6 qualification or higher in Information Technology or related field
• SAP S/4 HANA Sourcing & Procurement certification (mandatory)
• Minimum 10 years’ SAP MM and SD experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in full lifecycle SAP implementations
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with Vendor Portal solutions such as SAP Ariba or Coupa integrated with SAP MM and related modules
• Extensive experience integrating MM and SD with other SAP modules and third-party systems
• Strong understanding of:
  • SAP S/4 HANA
  • Purchase-to-Pay processes
  • Sales & Distribution processes
  • SAP authorization roles and objects
  • IT Service Management principles and ITIL frameworks
  • Reporting strategies and BI environments
  • Logistics and Supply Chain leading practices
• Experience with:
  • Functional design and SAP solution architecture
  • RICEF development processes
  • SAP security troubleshooting
  • HTML5 and web technologies
  • MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel and Pivot Tables
• Experience working with offshore and third-party delivery teams

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders by translating operational and compliance requirements into SAP solutions
• Design, configure, test, and support SAP MM, SD, and integrated third-party solutions
• Lead and support cross-functional integration initiatives involving modules such as PM, FI/CO, Ariba, and external vendor platforms
• Develop and manage RICEF objects including reports, interfaces, enhancements, conversions, workflows, and integrations
• Work closely with SAP Security teams to resolve authorization issues and recommend optimal security configurations
• Collaborate with ABAP developers by providing functional specifications and supporting development testing activities
• Facilitate workshops, solution presentations, scoping sessions, and realization activities with business stakeholders
• Monitor inbound and outbound interfaces, production orders, shipments, and invoice flows, resolving workflow and integration issues
• Create and execute unit testing and integration testing scenarios across Purchase-to-Pay business processes
• Ensure SAP S/4 HANA solutions comply with governance frameworks, audit requirements, procurement policies, segregation-of-duties controls, and cybersecurity standards
• Support internal and external audits through accurate and complete documentation
• Maintain knowledge bases, known error databases, testing material, training documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Perform SAP Note implementations including functional and security-related updates
• Ensure adherence to IT governance frameworks, standards, policies, and operational procedures

Key Accountabilities

• Drive end-to-end functional delivery of SAP S/4 HANA initiatives across projects and BAU environments
• Own functional support and resolution of MM/SD incidents (L2/L3 support)
• Support month-end, year-end, and operationally critical business processes
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective solutions
• Proactively identify process improvement opportunities
• Ensure functional quality, system stability, audit readiness, and operational resilience of the SAP environment
• Manage risks and dependencies across integrated systems and processes
• Drive business adoption, compliance, and value realization initiatives
