SECURITY OPERATIONS MANAGER (Technical & Guarding)

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Render a comprehensive pro-active integrated (technical and guarding) security service

Liaise with the client and handle all queries

Have Security Technical Ability and Background.

Alignment and to ensure allocation of all responsible sites are kept up to date and all needs are met by the guarding and technical personnel – advanced MS Excel required

Proactive liaising with the national operations control centre and assisting with the proactive interaction.

High level Investigations and report submission internally and to clients

Financial Management; Proven track record of reading and interpreting business financials ie. Profit and Loss statements

Procurement; oversee procurement and finance personnel and all purchasing and payments

Co-ordinate all management functions within the designated geographical area

Increase and sustain the performance and productivity of all staff at the branch

Ensure adherence to policies and standard operation procedures

Logistics; oversee vehicle management, fuel, uniform order, supplies etc

Personnel management and human resources development

Threat and Risk assessments

Proven track record of serving blue chip corporate clients

Ensure that contractual requirements are met at all times

Health and Safety Management including ISO

Completion of daily, weekly and monthly reports

Must be able to attend meetings and take calls to assist with matter of urgency

Demonstrate extensive knowledge of good security practice covering the physical and logical aspects of information products, systems, integrity and confidentiality

REQUIREMENTS: QUALIFICATIONS / ATTRIBUTES / SKILLS: PROVEN TRACK RECORD OF BELOW IN A SIMILAR POSITION:

Relevant experience in a managerial or similar position – minimum 10 years’ experience

5 – 10 years project management experience

Proven knowledge of security technology and national control room experience

Strong and proven investigation skills

PSIRA certification – Grade A

Grade 12 or equivalent qualification

Proven track record of reading and interpreting business financials ie. Profit and Loss statements

Firearm competency and a valid regulation 21 certificate is an advantage

Knowledge of methods and techniques of risk management, business impact analysis, counter measures and contingency arrangements

Bilingual (English and any other South African Language)

The ability to work under pressure

First aid and OHS knowledge essential

Excellent written & verbal communication skills

Computer literate and knowledge of MS office

Sound knowledge of BCEA, OHS Act, LRA, National Bargaining Council and Main Agreement

Good Labour Relation skills

Knowledge of ISO procedures

Sound Interpersonal skills and leadership abilities

Must be willing to undergo polygraph test

Clean disciplinary, criminal and credit record

Own reliable transport and driver’s license code 8

Able and willing to travel nationally
