SHEQ Officer

SUMMARY:
IntelliStaff is sourcing for a SHEQ officer with Road Freight Industry Experience.

POSITION INFO:

LOCATION: Isando, East Rand

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain and improves on current safety programs
• Maintain SQAS accreditation
• Prepares the company for ISO9001 and RTMS certification
• Maintains and updates safety documents ad records on a continuous basis
• Daily vehicle and equipment audits
• Checks expiry dates and arranges training, inductions etc. for all employees
• Conducts audits on drivers at customer site
• Regular checks on PPE
• Communicates regularly with customers and other external parties
• Prepares monthly reports
• Ensure all employees adhere to all safety rules and regulations

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS OF JOB:

• Grade 12
• Read, Write & Communicate effectively in English
• Must be fully computer literate
• Must have minimum - unendorsed code 8 license
• Must be prepared to work overtime at short notice
• Must have some basis qualification in SHEQ management or administration
• Must have at least 2 years’ experience in a SHEQ environment
• Must have experience on how to conduct audits
• Must have knowledge on implementing and maintaining ISO systems
• Must have above average knowledge of OHSACT
