SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented SHEQ Risk Officer to support compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining ISO compliance, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement across operational sites.

Key Responsibilities

Compile and maintain SHEQ documentation and safety files
Conduct risk assessments and site inspections
Monitor contractor compliance and performance
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses
Prepare SHEQ reports, statistics, and presentations
Coordinate emergency drills and maintain response plans
Support ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 implementation
Conduct SHE inductions and training
Develop and monitor Safe Work Procedures and SOPs
Participate in SHEQ audits and implement corrective actions
Maintain accurate records and ensure legal compliance

Minimum Requirements

Matric (National Senior Certificate)
National Diploma or Certificate in SHE or Quality Management
ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 knowledge
2–3 years’ experience in a SHEQ role within an industrial environment
Competency in risk assessment and incident investigation (advantageous)
Strong MS Office skills
Excellent communication, analytical, and report writing skills
Fluency in English
Strong planning and organizational abilities
