Vacancy: Safety Officer - Mining/Processing (Thabazimbi area)
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the mining and processing sectors.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards.
- Develop and implement safety training programs for staff at the mining site.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, documenting findings and recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with management to improve workplace safety and minimize risk.
- Maintain safety records and reports for regulatory compliance and internal analysis.
- Provide advice on health and safety policies and best practices.
Essential Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant qualifications in Safety Officer training.
Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 5-10 years experience in a safety officer role, specifically in the mining and processing industry.
- Proven expertise in health and safety regulations and practices applicable to mining.
