Sales \/ Commercial Representative Location: Spartan, Kempton Park, Gauteng, South Africa Reporting To: General Manager  Employment Type: Full-Time About  Our client is a chemical manufacturing and distribution company that develops, manufactures, and supplies chemical solutions across multiple industrial sectors, including water treatment and other industrial applications. Position Summary Our client is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Sales \/ Commercial Representative to drive business growth within the mining and water treatment sectors across Southern Africa. The role involves new business development, managing existing accounts, and achieving sales targets. Key Responsibilities New Business Development (80%): Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within mining and water treatment markets. Develop territory sales plans aligned with company growth objectives. Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and technical personnel. Prepare commercial proposals and negotiate agreements. Monitor market trends and achieve sales targets. Account Management (20%): Maintain relationships with existing customers and identify new opportunities for growth. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service delivery. Coordinate customer requirements with internal teams. Prepare sales reports and provide market feedback to management. Commercial & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities. Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline reports. Provide strategic recommendations to management. Support General Manager in commercial strategies. Minimum Requirements Experience: Minimum 5 years' sales experience in the chemical industry. Proven track record in chemical sales to mining and water treatment sectors. Experience managing key customer relationships and negotiations. Strong technical knowledge of industrial chemical applications. Competencies & Personal Attributes: Self-motivated and results-oriented. Able to work independently and target-driven. Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills. Effective in territory management and stakeholder engagement. Additional Requirements Valid driver's license and own reliable transport. Willingness to travel locally and internationally. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems. Fluent in English; additional languages advantageous.
