POSITION INFO:
A highly specialised mechanical component manufacturer is looking for a seasoned Sales Engineer with deep experience in the gear industry. This is a remote-based role for someone who understands gears inside and out — from gearboxes to gear manufacturing — and can speak the language of engineers and procurement teams alike.
The company is well established in the coal mining sector and is now actively expanding into broader mining and industrial markets.

Non-Negotiable Requirements

Hands-on gear experience is essential — whether in gear manufacturing, gearboxes, or precision gear drives
Existing experience or networks in mining or heavy industrial sectors
Based in Gauteng (remote work with occasional client visits)
Self-driven, results-focused, and technically fluent in mechanical applications

Job Experience & Skills Required

Identify and grow new business in the mining and industrial sectors
Translate complex customer specs into gear-based solutions
Interface with engineering teams and plant managers to offer fit-for-purpose products
Collaborate with manufacturing on technical scoping and pricing
Represent the company at on-site visits, trade shows, and technical demonstrations
