JOB DESCRIPTION:

Will be responsible to drive business strategy by implementing a strong and successful sales and growth strategy within the company. To function at a strategic executive level.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Sales and or Marketing Degree
  • At least 7 years’ experience in a senior sales management position
  • Project Management and/or Consulting on Sales.
  • Experience in an executive role would be advantageous

Job Description

  • Analyse potential client financial information
  • Projects are developed and action plans are compiled on a regular basis
  • Analysis of acquisition potential and impacts
  • Compile business cases for outsourcing
  • Achievement of expected growth targets
  • Design costs for contracts and monitor.
  • Compile costings for potential contracts for tender purposes.
  • Identifying cost-saving opportunities
  • Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to (Internal)
  • Grow the existing business through either targeted acquisitions, organic growth or new contracts
  • Identify new opportunities and innovative solutions
  • Identify strategic alliances/ventures
  • Secure new markets/customers, particularly in respect of logistic support and backward integration into customers
  • Survey markets and competitor activity
  • Prepare and manage the marketing plan and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline
  • Create contract opportunities
  • Research and keep abreast with new development in the transport industry
  • Look to provide a total solution to customer needs
  • Provide value added solutions in the passenger environment and building business cases for the achievement thereof
  • Lead the project team and co-coordinate input
  • Co-coordinate national projects
  • Ongoing reporting on projects
  • Ensure and maintain ongoing operational relationships with internal and external customers
  • Seek ways to add value to customers
  • Liaise with operations and support service levels
  • Pro-actively respond to customer needs
  • Understand customer’s business requirements
  • Company code of conduct, policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Develop performance standards
  • Measure performance according to standards
  • Evaluate performance on a regular basis
  • Correct performance when required policies and procedures are implemented
  • Identify and implement sales targets for the Business Development department
  • Ensure that decisions are made, and problems are solved when required
  • Communicate with clients, stakeholders and staff regularly
