Sales Key Account Representative - Industrial Chemical Raw Materials - Manufacturing - Gauteng

SUMMARY:
A well-established chemical raw materials company requires the above to manage and drive key accounts as well as develop new business within the industrial manufacturing industries, maximising profitability, controlling working capital, growing portfolios and achieving budgetary objectives.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements for the role: A tertiary qualification is preferred but not essential for this role. The company is happy to consider a Graduate with no work experience for the role, as it is prepared to train the person into a technical sales role. The successful candidate will be calling on manufacturing companies within the industrial industries. Previous experience having worked in a sales role is preferred but not essential. Previous sales experience selling chemical raw materials into the manufacturing industry is preferred but not essential. Previous sales experience having worked within the detergent, paints and coatings, construction and other related industrial manufacturing markets is preferred but not essential. Must be computer literate and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Managing and driving sales volumes at key account customers, maintaining strong relationships with existing key accounts as well as identifying and developing potential business opportunities. Promoting new and existing chemical raw material products into the manufacturing industry. Ensuring that key accounts are serviced and that their expectations of products are met. Managing and negotiating the pricing of products with customers. Managing and implementing strategies to drive growth with key accounts. Managing chemical raw material stock portfolio for key accounts. Attending various conferences and trade shows nationally and internationally. Setting and driving budget targets and sales objectives. Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
