About Our Client The company is a supplier of engineered pumping, filtration, and fluid-handling solutions. It operates across core industrial sectors throughout South Africa and neighbouring Southern African countries. The Role: Sales Manager The Sales Manager is responsible for leading, growing, and overseeing the company''s sales function across Southern Africa. Reporting to the Managing Director, the primary focus is to drive sustainable revenue growth, expand market presence, develop strategic business opportunities, and manage key client accounts while developing a high-performing sales team. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage technical sales personnel while bringing a minimum of 8 to 10 years of industrial sales experience. Develop and implement the annual sales strategy, operational growth plans, and sales budgets. Drive business development and market expansion across core industrial sectors including mining, petrochemical, oil and gas, chemical, water, and manufacturing. Establish and cultivate relationships with end users, EPC contractors, consulting engineers, OEMs, municipalities, and government departments. Manage key accounts, perform client visits, and expand scope of supply. Formulate market penetration, pricing, customer segmentation, cross-selling, and product launch strategies. Maintain active relations with international suppliers regarding technical support, pricing, product training, and brand representation. Coordinate with internal operations, procurement, workshop, finance, and admin teams to ensure seamless execution from quotation to delivery. About You Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in industrial sales. Minimum of 5 years of experience managing technical sales teams. National Diploma or Bachelor''s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or a related field. Demonstrated experience selling pumps, rotating equipment, filtration systems, or industrial process equipment. Proven track record in project sales and managing major industrial accounts in the Southern African market. Strong technical comprehension of general pumps, filtration equipment, and fluid-handling systems. Willingness to travel regularly throughout South Africa and neighbouring Southern African countries. An engineering qualification complemented by commercial experience is preferred. A formal Sales Management qualification, MBA, or postgraduate business qualification is advantageous.
