Sales Manager: Mining portfolio

POSITION INFO:

The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through developing strong relationships within the mining industry, and managing and leveraging key accounts for continued success of the business. The business manufactures and supplies specialised steel products.

The key aspects of this role include:

• Develop and implement a sales strategy focused on the mining industry.

   

• Identify new business opportunities and expand the company’s presence within major mining houses and contractors.

   

• Manage and grow existing client relationships while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

   

• Lead negotiations and close large commercial agreements.

   

• Work closely with internal technical and operations teams to ensure customer requirements are met.

   

• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments.

   

• Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue objectives.

Experience and Skills required:

• Business, Engineering, or Sales/Marketing would be advantageous.
• At least 8 years of experience in a mining sales environment
• Proven track record in business development and key account management
• Experience selling industrial products, steel products or mining-related consumables/ equipment will be highly advantageous.
• Strong network within mining houses, procurement teams, and engineering departments.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to travel to mine sites and client locations as required.
