Sales Manager Office Automation

SUMMARY:
Our client in the office automation industry is looking to fill the position for Sales Manager.

POSITION INFO:

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to lead and motivate a team of new business sales people, as well as account managers
• Min 8 - 10 year’s sales management experience in the office automation industry
• Must have knowledge & experience in telecoms & office automation
• Must have a solid track record
• Must have experience with budgeting, forecasting & ensuring division achieves monthly & annual sales targets
• Must be ambitious, someone who is looking to build a career
• Valid SA driver’s license and own Vehicle

RESPONSIBILITIES

PRODUCT TRAINING AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Ensure sales people receive the necessary training on new, existing machines.
• Regular reviewing of salesman’s product knowledge
• Demonstration skills
• Setting up of product knowledge tests
• Quote presentation skills

STAFF DEVELOPMENT:

• Selling skills: relevant training required
• Interpersonal skills: utilizing leadership skills
• Time management: plan and maintain time management program
• Responsibility: delegating responsibilities and tasks – getting the job done
• Setting objectives and ensuring achievement of them
• Support sales staff on appointments when necessary
• Ensure targets are met

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

• Team building and motivation

RECRUITMENT:

• Deal with recruitment of new staff members

IN FIELD EVALUATION, TRAINING AND MONITORING:

• Training programs where required
• Monitoring performance and regularity
• Customer visits and coaching

OFFICE MANAGEMENT:

• Monthly sales projections
• Ensure admin of external sales is done correctly and timorously
• Monthly performance analysis
• Leave forms
• Evaluate performance monthly
• Checking of all outgoing paperwork e.g. quotes, correspondence, pricing
• Check and sign off commission sheet
• Assess weekly prospect lists

CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP:

• Build customer relations and maintain them
• Be responsible to customer needs
