SUMMARY:
Sales Manager

POSITION INFO:

This is a management level role that requires an entrepreneurially minded, intelligent business leader with great exposure to the African Travel and Tourism vertical. 

The correct candidate must be comfortable working within a structured management team, with a willingness to interface with the General Manager and the Marketing manager to drive revenue. This is currently a remote working position, but will transition into a variable home/office based position as the market allows.

Product Management

The correct candidate needs an exceptionally strong Tour Operator understanding of a 4 and 5 star African travel product (Southern and East Africa) with a strong will to deliver. 

The candidate will have entrenched relationships with key product decision makers, and have the ability to intertwine product offerings into our tailor-made itineraries to create incredible client experiences. 

This will require high levels of EQ, and be able to discern the needs of clients from differing nationalities, understand quality versus price, and understand who might read Tatler versus House&Home! The individual will know how to maximize yield at high STO properties, marginal costings, manage deposit and cancellation policies and deliver of supplier targets. 

They will proactively manage strategic product and product value adds. 

Sales Management

The candidate needs a strong track record and understanding of B2C and B2B sales, and the ability to work directly as the sales manager for revenue target achievement. This is a hands-on role that will entail training, mentoring and working with a team of consultants directly in their sales pipeline to win more sales. 

The candidate will engage directly within the sales pipeline and marketing channels (through our industry leading technology platform) and must derive great joy winning more sales, imparting knowledge and delivering superb itineraries for maximum customer satisfaction. 

The correct candidate must be able to manage, recruit, and drive a sales team to sales excellence.

System Centricity and Data Analysis

The organisation operates a highly advanced data centric CRM system. The ideal candidate must be comfortable extracting and analysing data to derive market trends, reviewing consultant process management within a defined sales funnel, benchmarking best case sales methodologies and ensuring adherence thereof.
