SUMMARY:
A leading and fast-growing renewable energy company is seeking a technically strong and commercially astute Sales Proposal Design Engineer to join its dynamic team. The organisation delivers innovative and sustainable solar solutions to commercial, industrial, and utility-scale clients.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

Design grid-tied and hybrid Solar PV systems for commercial and industrial applications
Prepare detailed technical proposals aligned with client specifications
Compile and review tender documentation, ensuring compliance with RFP requirements
Develop and price Bills of Quantities (BOQs) accurately
Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies where required
Perform system sizing, yield analysis, and equipment selection
Liaise with suppliers for technical specifications and pricing
Support the sales team with technical presentations and client engagements
Ensure proposals meet regulatory and safety standards

Minimum Requirements:

BEng Electrical Engineering (essential)
3–5 years’ experience in Solar PV system design
Proven experience compiling and submitting tenders and BOQs
Strong understanding of PV system components, inverters, mounting structures, and protection systems
Proficiency in PV design software (e.g., PVSyst, Helioscope or similar)
Knowledge of SANS regulations and grid compliance requirements
Strong analytical, costing, and commercial acumen
