Summary
A reputable distributor of premium alcohol brands, is currently seeking a Sales Representative - Main Market. The client is specifically interested in an individual who exemplifies collaborative and leadership teamwork, maintains a professional approach, and draws inspiration from creativity. The Sales Representative will ensure the effective implementation of the company’s sales strategy in Polokwane (to be based of Polokwane) – Covering areas such as Tzaneen and Thohoyandou.
The incumbent will service outlets in both the on-trade and off-trade within the indicated area.
Duties & Responsibilities
Brand Availability and Sales Volumes:
- Strategically attain channel-specific availability targets.
- Ensure precise execution of brand availability across channels.
- Elevate brand equity as a primary catalyst for all initiatives and engagements.
- Innovate to amplify sales volume.
- Channelize brand prioritization to maximize volume.
Promotions and Brand Visibility:
- Execute promotions in alignment with brand equity standards.
- Channelize promotions for optimal brand-channel synergy.
- Implement the National Promotions Strategy meticulously.
- Monitor and optimize promotion ROI.
- Enhance brand visibility via imagery, displays, uniforms, menus, and merchandising.
Operational Excellence:
- Methodically administer and update call cycles.
- Achieve 100% adherence to the call cycle.
- Ensure accurate coding of all outlets.
- Fulfill all requirements during representative calls.
- Timely completion of administrative and reporting tasks.
Consumer Interaction:
- Responsibly engage with consumers across all touchpoints.
- Gather consumer data aligned with target demographics.
- Relay consumer insights and expectations effectively.
Financial Asset Management:
- Adhere to quantity and cycle discount parameters.
- Prompt completion and submission of PODs and credit notes.
- Maintain and upkeep company vehicles.
- Manage vehicle mileage within budgetary limits.
- Responsible handling of promotional stock.
Desired Experience & Qualification
• 3 Year Tertiary Education (Beneficial)
• 2-3-Years Relevant experience – NB experience within FMCG / Beverage industry experience will be preferable
• Product, service knowledge and understanding of category management
• Knowledge of marketing and accounting principles
• Computer literate
• Ability to conceptualise and negotiate
• Customer orientation
• Sound interpersonal skills and creativity (big picture thinking)
• Team player and ability to work independently using initiative
• Endurance and ability to tolerate extended hours
