POSITION INFO:

Sales Support Assistant

Location: Elsies River Industria, Cape Town

Working hours: 08:00 – 16:30 (30-minute lunch break)

Role Overview

We are seeking an initiative-taking and meticulous Sales Support Assistant with a strong “can-do” attitude to join our office-based sales team. You will support Sales Consultants by preparing and managing quotations, drafting proposals, coordinating resources, and maintaining accurate records in our CRM and SAP systems.

You will also assist in driving new business by researching prospects, engaging via LinkedIn and phone, and reactivating dormant customers. This role requires organisation, resilience, and the ability to thrive in a challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Quotation Support:

Prepare and manage quotations.

Assist in creating and completing customer proposals.

Maintain accurate records of quotations in CRM and SAP.

Update and manage the sales pipeline alongside Sales Consultants and the Technical Presales Specialist.

Generate sales progress reports using SAP and Excel.

Proactively engage with prospective customers via phone, email, and LinkedIn.

Reconnect with dormant customers to revitalise relationships.

Pipeline & Opportunity Management

Track and update sales opportunities in the pipeline.

Follow up with Sales Consultants and customers to drive progress.

Cold Calling & Outreach

Preparation: Research potential clients, understand their business challenges, and identify

opportunities for the company.

Communication: Deliver clear, concise, and impactful introductions.

Resilience: Maintain confidence during calls, handle rejections professionally, and track objections for improvement.

Skills & Competencies

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priori􀆟es.

Understanding of sales processes, opportunities, and pipeline management.

Eagerness to learn about products (training provided).

Excellent communication and coordination skills across teams.

Self-motivated, proactive, and resilient.

Qualifications & Experience

Relevant diploma/degree in Sales, Business, or a related field (advantageous, not essential).

Previous experience in sales support or administrative roles preferred.

Proficiency in Excel; experience with SAP and CRM systems is a plus.

Salary: R18 - 22,000 (negotiable) plus quarterly bonuses
