Sales and Technical Representative – Machine Tools

SUMMARY:
We are recruiting for a Sales and Technical Representative with proven experience within the machine tools industry.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Open and close the branch daily, supported by an Admin\/Sales Assistant. Develop, maintain, and grow existing customer relationships. Conduct regular customer visits and business development activities. Prepare quotations and manage customer correspondence. Process sales-related administration using Microsoft Office and email systems. Oversee the loading and offloading of stock, including customer deliveries and incoming stock from Head Office. Provide basic technical support and troubleshoot minor machine-related issues on-site. Liaise with and coordinate external service technicians for warranty and non-warranty repairs. Ensure excellent customer service and after-sales support. Minimum Requirements Minimum 3-4 years' experience within the machine tools industry. Proven sales experience with a strong customer-focused approach. Technical background with knowledge of machine tool operation and maintenance. Trade qualification in a technical field will be advantageous. Alternatively, a qualification in Sales, Business, or Commerce combined with relevant technical experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer systems. Basic understanding of machine software and CNC systems will be beneficial. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites. Desired Attributes Self-motivated and proactive.
